Starbucks has earned the reputation of being a secular company who embraces the LGBT agenda and even helps pay for their employees to abort their babies.
But the latest act by one Starbucks employee reminds us all why we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
And once you hear what this Starbuck’s employee was caught doing on camera – you’re bound to be moved.
Let’s face it – this life is hard.
Each of us in our own way carry invisible burdens – some we never discuss or talk about with anyone else but God.
So if we see a person struggling, one of the most powerful things we can do (along with tangibly helping them if we can) – is to pray for them.
And when Tanya Hinsley and her teenage son were waiting in a Starbucks drive-thru – they couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw one Starbucks employee – praying for a customer in line!
Hinsley later learned the employee’s name was Cassie – and spoke about how touched she was by what she witnessed – and how it was inspiring for her teenage son to see someone praying in public.
Fox News reported:
“My son and I were having a discussion about how we loved that she stopped what she is doing and was bold in her faith and cared enough to pray with someone,” Hinsley explained, according to Fox 5. She said she was happy that her impressionable son saw it, thinking that many teenagers might be embarrassed to pray in public…
Hinsley said she was touched by Carrie “simply being a light for Jesus” and hopes the situation inspires others to demonstrate kindness.
“This act of kindness and boldness in faith given out to others daily by people like Carrie, gives me hope and reminds myself and hopefully others that being kind and praying for someone doesn’t cost anything,” she said.”
What a beautiful story – and important reminder for us all.
Oftentimes, we think there’s “nothing we can do” to help someone who is struggling – but offering to pray for them right there in the moment is a powerful way to share your faith and show the love of Jesus.
May we all be convicted to “talk less” and pray more – knowing that prayer changes things.
We don’t know how God will answer our prayers, but we know He is always good – and faithful.
Cheers to Cassie for being bold and sharing her faith at work and demonstrating the love of Christ to a complete stranger in need.
While the media may continue to report how “faith is dead” and denounce prayer – there are countless stories about employees seizing the moment and praying right there on the job.
From the police officer who prayed instead of issuing a speeding ticket, to the sheriff who wouldn’t remove the Bible verse from his office wall – there are many faithful Christians who display their faith in the workplace.
May we all do the same – wherever God has us!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
