Tim was one of those babies who too often end up as just another statistic…
His mother wanted him dead and even threatened to kill herself if she didn’t get her way.
Those around her finally gave in and allowed her to follow through with her plans.
But things didn’t turn out the way she wanted.
What she meant for evil, God redeemed in the most powerful way.
As reported by LifeSiteNews:
“Fortunately for Tim, the abortionist was sloppy, and decided not to follow the usual protocol of injecting potassium chloride into his heart in order to kill him prior to removing him from the womb. The abortionist figured that Tim wouldn’t survive premature labor, and so assumed that the injection would be unnecessary to accomplish the objective of killing Tim.”
He was left alone for 9 hours to die, but when they came back to retrieve his dead body, it was discovered baby Tim was not dead, he was still alive!
Realizing they had a live baby, they decided to give him medical care.
While the doctors predicted he’d die right away, he lived 21 years and sadly recently passed away due to a lung complication.
Tim’s mom was determined to have an abortion. Once she knew she was pregnant with a baby with Down syndrome, she wanted nothing to do with her baby.
In fact, she even went on to threaten to end her own life, if the doctors didn’t end her baby’s life.
Thankfully, Tim survived this abortion attempt.
And although Tim’s short life ended at the age of 21, he lived a full 21 years with his adoptive parents who loved him as their own.
Would Tim have had a longer life had the doctors not tried to murder him inside his mother’s womb, or if they hadn’t left him alone for 9 hours? Only God knows the answer.
Sadly, many babies born with Down syndrome don’t make it at all.
It’s estimated up to 85% of unborn babies with Down syndrome are aborted.
But why do some women like Tim’s mom automatically assume abortion is their “only way out?”
Many are scared and frightened at the thought of raising a baby with special needs. Sometimes they are young, and the burden seems too much.
Others may be married and have a family, but feel they lack either the support network or financial means necessary to raise a child with special needs.
Even more tragic, many doctors are pushing mothers to abort children with special needs, harping on how “difficult” it will be to raise a baby, or scaring the mother into thinking the child won’t be able to survive birth.
But so many children born with Down syndrome go on to live long and beautiful lives!
In fact, if you’ve ever looked into the eyes of an individual with Down syndrome, you know firsthand they are some of the most loving and caring people walking the earth. Their love is unending, and they are the first to give you a hug, or a warm smile.
Thankfully some politicians are passing legislation making it illegal to abort a baby just because they are diagnosed with Down syndrome. But after New York’s horrific law allowing abortion up until birth, we still have a long road ahead.
As Christians, we need to all be on our knees in prayer, praying for God to have mercy on our nation. We must fervently pray for God to soften the cold hearts of those who advocate for pro-abort policies.
And remember folks, elections have consequences. It is imperative that we vote for pro-life politicians and be sure to contact our legislators and encourage them to vote for life.
Rest in peace Tim. We are happy you were born and had the chance to experience love and life.
What are some ways you can advocate on behalf of unborn babies in your hometown? Were you shocked to learn Tim’s mother wanted him to be aborted, just because he had Down syndrome?
