Parents in Tennessee can sleep a little bit easier tonight knowing their children are safe from the LGBT agenda – at least for now.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee recently signed a bill prohibiting doctors from prescribing hormone treatments to children.
Taking it even further, Tennessee legislators have also introduced a slew of additional pro-family bills designed to fight back against the LGBT agenda – and their actions have inspired a nationwide state effort to join them in the fight.
Tennessee SB 126 prohibits “a healthcare prescriber from prescribing a course of treatment that involves hormone treatment for gender dysphoric or gender incongruent prepubertal minors.”
Arkansas was the first state to pass such legislation, although the Arkansas bill goes even further and bans hormone treatment for gender dysphoria for anyone under the age of 18 and includes a ban on gender-altering surgeries.
It’s a sad day when a male or female chooses to alter their biological sex either by taking hormone treatments or undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
God made each of us uniquely male and uniquely female, and any attempt to alter His perfect design never ends well.
When adults struggle with gender dysphoria, it’s tragic – but it is even worse when they force their dysfunction onto young children.
All around the country, children are receiving puberty blockers and other hormonal treatments to “change their gender.”
Sadly, as they grow up and become adults, many come to regret what’s happened to their bodies – but by then, it’s often too late.
Thankfully, legislators in Tennessee are determined to stop the attack on our children and continue to introduce bills to protect our youth.
LifeSite News reported:
“Along with SB 126, Tennessee has enacted four other pro-family bills this session, including measures to separate private spaces according to biological sex, bar gender-confused males from competing against females, and let parents opt their children out of LGBT ideology taught at public schools.”
Other states around the country like Alabama, Mississippi, Montana, and West Virginia have passed bills that prohibit those who claim to be “transgender” from participating in women’s sports.
While these victories are great and much needed, we still have a leader in office who affirms and supports “transgenderism” in children.
Biden has made it clear he will push through his LGBT agenda and is already doing so at a national level.
But at least in some states, a glimpse of hope still remains.
Those who struggle with gender dysphoria need to be supported through counseling to help them get to the bottom of their mental disorder.
Many who struggle with their gender identity were sexually abused as children or had some other significant traumatic event happen to them.
But instead of helping these victims, policies affirming “transgenderism” only harm them.
God has made it clear – He takes it seriously when adults lead children astray and away from Him.
Let’s hope more states have the courage to pass legislation to protect our vulnerable children from adults who wish to force their LGBT beliefs onto their young bodies and minds.
