Abortion is a horrific and violent assault against not only the baby, but also against the mother who undergoes such a gruesome act.
And in one state – instead of making access to abortion more difficult – they’ve made it even easier by allowing teens to end the life of their precious baby.
In fact, the new law allows minors to kill their babies without parental consent – read further to hear the shocking details.
Rightfully so, there are restrictions on what teenagers can and cannot do yet in society.
Their minds are young and they aren’t able to make adult decisions in major areas.
But in Illinois, a bill was passed and signed into law by its Governor that allows underage girls to have an abortion – without having to notify their parents at all.
Teens can’t buy cigarettes or alcohol – but they can kill their own babies?!
While many pregnant teens may at first feel scared to tell their parents – they often learn their parents will be there to support them through their pregnancy.
But now, these teens don’t even have to tell their parents they’re pregnant and can just go get an abortion.
As horrific as this is – sexual predators are also thrilled with the new law.
Girls who are trafficked are often forced to get abortions in order to “cover up” the crime of sexual assault.
Having parental notification for abortion protects girls – and can often alert parents and doctors that something bad is happening.
But with the new law – a trafficked teen girl can get an abortion without her mother or father ever knowing.
The Christian Post reported:
“Amy Gehrke, executive director of Illinois Right to Life, a Chicago-based organization that advocates against abortion, told The Christian Post they are “appalled” by the law’s repeal.
“Gov. Pritzker has told the parents of Illinois that they don’t matter and has completely trampled on their rights to be involved in the health decisions of their minor daughters,” she said in an interview with CP.
“We know that human traffickers and other sexual predators often cover their crimes with abortion. And our Legislature, along with Gov. Pritzker, has given these abusers carte blanche to continue abusing our girls.”
Legislators are so quick to promote their pro-abortion agenda – they don’t think about the consequences these laws have – and the dangerous situations they place women in.
What pregnant teen girls need to know is that they aren’t alone and there are people who will help them through their pregnancy.
The last thing they need is to be able to walk into an abortion clinic and get an abortion in secret.
We must continue to pray for a day when abortion will finally end – and our babies (and women) will truly be protected from those seeking to do them harm.
