If you ask people what the leading cause of death is worldwide – they’ll likely suggest things such as lung cancer or heart attacks.
But the truth is – there is one cause of death that takes more lives each year than any disease – and this brutal act is championed by many.
And once you hear what the leading cause of death is around the world – you’re bound to be heartbroken.
So what has killed 44 million people around the world in a single year?
Abortion.
That’s right, for the fourth year in a row, abortion is the leading cause of death worldwide.
In comparison, the second leading cause of death in 2022 was communicable diseases, ending the lives of 13 million people.
The Christian Post reported:
“Worldometer, a database that keeps track of statistics about health, the global population and other metrics in real-time, continuously compiles information about the number of abortions worldwide. The last available snapshot of the Worldometer from 2022, captured on Dec. 31 by the internet archiving tool The Wayback Machine, shows that more than 44 million abortions took place last year.
While Worldometer cites a fact sheet from the World Health Organization as the source for its abortion statistics, the WHO maintains that “around 73 million induced abortions take place worldwide each year.” The global organization characterizes abortion as an essential health service.
The second leading cause of death in 2022, as identified by the Worldometer, was communicable diseases, causing nearly 13 million casualties.”
This is truly the greatest human rights abuse of our time.
While the overturning of Roe v. Wade has undoubtedly saved countless lives – there are still people who champion the slaying of unborn babies.
Let that sink in.
There are people who not only provide abortions – but advocate for it with pleasure.
Besides the publicity stunts of women popping abortion pills on live TV, or NPR airing a woman getting an abortion over the airwaves – there are still those who insist every woman should have the “right” to kill her baby – so they are helping make it as easy as possible for pregnant women to do so.
Whether it’s allowing retail pharmacies to sell abortion pills, or even driving vans to the border of pro-life states so women can easily cross state lines to get an abortion – the pro-abort crowd is ramping up their assault on life in droves.
And not only does the President of the United States think women here in our country should be able to kill their babies, he is trying to increase overseas funding so women across the world can abort their babies… with our U.S. tax dollars!
It’s truly unconscionable.
Please don’t be silent when it comes to fighting for life.
Unborn babies can’t yet defend themselves – and they need us to speak up on their behalf.
In addition to holding politicians accountable for their votes and making sure only pro-life politicians get elected and hold their seat – we must continue to pray without ceasing for God’s mercy – that He will move in mighty ways to end the slaying of innocent life.
