While experimenting with the occult is all the rage these days, the fascination with flirting with the darkness has spanned across generations.
So when a group of teen girls thought they could find answers through an Ouija board – it ended up sending 28 of them to the hospital.
Reports surfaced of fainting and anxiety attacks – and as the bizarre details of this event are still unfolding – it should remind us all of the dangers and what could happen when messing with the occult.
The Ouija board event took place in a local school in Colombia.
Apparently, a large group of girls were playing with an Ouija board – and then began to experience strange symptoms after.
The New York Post reported:
“There were 28 possible cases of anxiety in school students,” said Hugo Torres, head of the Galeras Educational Institution in Galeras, where the incident took place, per Jam Press.
According to the outlet, alarm bells went off after the girls reportedly suffered signs of fainting, anxiety and other symptoms at school. They were subsequently admitted to a municipal hospital accompanied by parents and school faculty.”
As crazy as this incident sounds – all bets are off when you attempt to communicate with the dead or flirt with the occult.
There is a reason why the Bible warns Christians to avoid even a hint of messing with the spiritual occult.
It is dangerous.
Whether it’s horoscopes, tarot cards, witchcraft, or séances – Christians are commanded to FLEE from such practices.
Many people think they can “handle it” – only to undergo mental duress after experimenting with the spiritual world.
At the end of the day, those who don’t know Jesus are searching for answers.
But the problem is, many are led astray and start looking for answers in all the wrong places – and end up getting mixed up in occult practices.
We don’t exactly know how the spiritual world functions – but the Bible alerts us that it is real.
And those who seek to find the “truth” through the spiritual world outside of Jesus are playing with fire.
There are countless stories of those who used to be wrapped up in the occult world who have fled – and later came back to warn others about the seriousness of such practices.
Regardless of why these teen girls experienced fainting and anxiety – let’s hope this serves as a wakeup call that the occult is nothing to mess with.
We pray these teen girls will recover from their scare – and learn true peace and healing is only found in Jesus Christ.
Jesus is our anchor in the storm – and the only one who we can count on to find answers to the questions we have – as He allows us to know.
May we trust in Him and take heed the warnings not to dabble in the occult in any capacity.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
