Some teachers will lie to children and lead them to believe that gender is fluid and they can “pick whichever one they want.”
But not PE teacher Bryan “Tanner” Cross.
In fact, when he boldly stated in front of the school board that he would refuse to lead innocent children astray in terms of gender – you won’t believe their vicious response.
These days, schools are utterly obsessed with pushing the LGBT agenda onto young children – and without mercy.
It didn’t help when the President of the United States Joe Biden came out in support of “transgenderism” in sports and said that kids can use whatever bathroom or locker room they want.
And while many adults are content with leading children astray, there are still a few good souls remaining who refuse to subject impressionable children to LGBT propaganda.
In Virginia, PE teacher Bryan “Tanner” Cross stood up to the Loudoun County School Board and declared that he cared for all his students but would not lie to them.
According to the policy in Loudoun County, students who identify as “transgender” are allowed to use whatever gender pronouns “reflect their identity” even if it conflicts with their name and gender on their actual record.
Teachers who refuse to call a “transgender” student by their “preferred” pronoun face disciplinary action.
As a Christian man, Cross knew he couldn’t lie to children who struggle with gender dysphoria and lead them to believe it’s okay to just “choose whatever gender” they wanted.
So instead of being silent, Cross confronted the school board in a gentle, yet firm way.
Fox News reported:
“My name is Tanner Cross and I am speaking out of love for those who are suffering from gender dysphoria…
I love all of my students but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences. I’m a teacher but I serve God first and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it’s against my religion. It’s lying to a child, it’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God.”
Of course, the liberal school board was outraged by his remarks.
As a result of Cross standing up for the children, the school principal notified parents that Cross had been “placed on leave” without delving into the details as to why.
But it’s clear his leave was related to his remarks affirming God’s design for gender.
Children in the school system face massive confusion and, sadly, many of them go on to struggle with gender dysphoria.
And instead of receiving help from trusted adults, these adults continue to harm them by encouraging this type of behavior.
As Christians we know God made us male and female, and we must be prepared to hold fast to this truth even if society deviates or perverts it.
Although Cross has been suspended from teaching and could face losing his job, the fact he held true to his Christian beliefs, knowing it could cost him his livelihood, should inspire Christians everywhere to act with such boldness.
After all, if we don’t stand up to the out-of-control LGBT agenda, who will?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
