When Christians run for political office – they have an incredible opportunity to ensure Biblical values are fought for in the public square.
From banning abortion to stopping LGBT activists from hijacking our youth – so much good can be done when Christians are elevated to positions of influence.
But Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who claims to be a Christian, has stated that banning abortion is “unbiblical” and “cruel” – and just wait until you hear what else she had to say.
To start, as Christians we know God is the Author of life – and that every child He places in a mother’s womb is intentional.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” – Psalm 139:13-16
While the Bible is clear – God made each of us in His image and knows the number of our days – Abrams claims that since she’s the “daughter of two pastors” and “understands the Bible,” that anyone seeking to ban abortion is cruel and acting “unbiblically.”
Life News reported:
“I was trained to read and understand the Bible, and I will tell you this: There is nothing about the decision to eliminate access to abortion care that is grounded in anything other than cruelty and meanness and danger in the state of Georgia,” she told the church.
“Nothing.”
Abrams said the Georgia heartbeat law takes “cruelty to a new level” because it bans most abortions, and “abortion care is a medical issue.”
While her comments are blatantly untrue – it’s even more heartbreaking they are coming out of the mouth of someone who professes to know Jesus.
As the abortion battle continues to pick up steam – many politicians are using the name of Jesus to promote abortions.
Catholic leaders have warned both Biden and Pelosi to stop using the Catholic Church as a means to promote pro-abort policies.
When they didn’t listen – Biden and Pelosi were denied communion at different Catholic Churches.
Those who don’t know Christ look towards Christian leaders for what is true – and for a gubernatorial candidate who professes Christ to run on a pro-abortion platform is horrific.
We must pray for Stacey Abrams, that the deception will be lifted and she will come to know the truth – that every life was created by God and deserves protection.
Do you think Christians can be “pro-choice”?
What are your thoughts on politicians using the name of Jesus in hopes to expand and increase abortions?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
