America’s public schools are straying farther and farther away from God every year.
Education has turned into indoctrination as school administrators assert their power.
And a new report reveals just how bad things have gotten – in graphic detail.
The public school sex education curriculum continues to change for the worse as liberal activists push their way into the classroom.
But their work has been exposed by a new report called “Sex Education in Public Schools: Sexualization of Children and LGBT Indoctrination.”
The Family Research Council [FRC], a Christian public policy ministry founded to defend the Biblical family, released the report in hopes of demonstrating how the liberal agenda has infiltrated even this most private of subjects.
And their findings are deeply disturbing for students and parents alike.
“Today’s sex ed lessons can be highly manipulative,” said Cathy Ruse, FRC’s Director of Human Dignity.
“[The lessons used in classrooms today are] carefully designed to get children to approve of the concept of sexual rights and fluid sexual ‘identities,’ and to reject their religious beliefs, the authority of their parents, and even physical reality itself.”
Ruse highlighted the ways in which classroom education—or indoctrination—pushes parents and family values aside in favor of sexualizing children, noting that many parents are all too ready to step aside.
“Talking to children about sexuality is a highly sensitive endeavor,” Ruse said. “It is emotionally charged, even under the best of circumstances.”
“Frankly, most parents really don’t want to have these awkward conversations with their children.”
But this hesitancy to discuss sex at home has created a gap that liberal activists are all too happy to fill.
“Well-funded international pressure groups have been extraordinarily successful in pushing agenda-driven curricula that sexualizes children and promotes a ‘sexual rights’ ideology among youth,” Ruse continued.
“School systems are devoting significant classroom time to these programs—70 classroom hours per child in some cases—even while American public schools are failing to fulfill their core mission.”
As Ruse said, it’s clear that indoctrination and the LGBTQ agenda have overtaken actual education in public school classrooms.
The FRC report reveals that “how to” sex workshops are taking up more and more class time, with students learning how to use dental dams, obtain abortions, and give consent to have sex with all kinds of partners.
It’s disgusting to imagine seventh-graders learning such things in school, but it’s true.
And FRC reported that, in many cases, parents don’t have the choice to opt their children out of such lessons—or parents aren’t even informed of what’s happening.
“Consider the emergence of no-opt-out laws and policies that revoke the right of parents to opt their children out of sexuality-based lessons,” Ruse noted. “California and Illinois have taken this radical step.”
It’s just one more way for school administrators and board leaders to establish themselves as “authorities” over students’ parents.
“When Illinois parents started keeping their kids home during LGBTQ Week…the school board vice president suggested not telling parents when it would occur,” Ruse added.
In other words, school administrators are so committed to showing this sexual propaganda to students that they will deceive parents in order to do so.
And the indoctrination isn’t limited to specific sex-ed classes, according to the FRC report.
“Even if parents identify problematic lessons in sex ed and manage to opt their kids out, that won’t protect them from sex propaganda appearing elsewhere in school, such as in the halls, in history class, on the calendar, and in the library,” Ruse said.
It’s time for parents to step up and demand a change.
“As parents, we should insist on the best for our children,” Ruse stated firmly, suggesting a few practical ways for parents to stand up to the propaganda agenda.
“Demanding risk avoidance-based sex ed, filing universal opt-out letters annually, and attending school board meetings are proactive ways that parents can let their schools know that they are informed, they are watching, and they are prepared to act.”
“God has called us right here, right now, for a reason,” Ruse concluded. “Parents are needed now, more than ever, to fight for the good, the beautiful, and the true!”
“We may be outspent and outnumbered, but we are not alone.”
