A “transgender” shooter took advantage of a gun-free zone and brutally opened fire on innocent schoolchildren.
Three adults were killed, including the head of the school.
And to add to the horror – three 9-year-old children also lost their lives – including 9-year-old Hallie Scruggs who is the daughter of senior pastor Chad Scruggs of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
The targeted attack took place at The Covenant School, a private Christian school in Nashville affiliated with Covenant Presbyterian Church.
As Pastor Chad Scruggs learned about the loss of his precious daughter Hallie, the world mourned with him and publicly expressed their grief and sorrow asking all of us to join them in prayer.
The shooter Audrey Hale identifies as “transgender” and is a biological female who claims to be male.
Hale’s attack was planned and it is reported she had a detailed map of the school along with further plans to attack other locations.
The day of the shooting, Hale sent a disturbing message to her friend Averianna Patton telling her she was planning to die and that it would be in the media because “something bad was about to happen”.
Newsweek reported:
“So basically that post I made on here about you, that was basically a suicide note. I’m planning to die today. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!! You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die,” Hale wrote to Patton on Instagram, in messages shared with NewsChannel5.
The 28-year-old shooter then told Patton they would see each other in another life. When Patton replied saying Hale had “so much more life to live,” Hale wrote back: “I know but I don’t want to live. I’m so sorry. I’m not trying to upset you or get attention. I just need to die.”
Hale added: “One day this will make more sense. I’ve left more than enough evidence behind. But something bad is about to happen.”
A chilling video after the shooting showed 28-year-old Audrey Hale breaking through a locked school door, heavily armed, and searching for her victims.
Tragically, she ended the lives of 6 innocent people – including 3 children.
This premeditated and evil act is a sobering reminder at how wicked and evil this world truly is.
Thankfully, law enforcement officers were able to gun down the deranged shooter, but she still managed to take the lives of students and faculty alike – leaving a gaping hole in the hearts of all who loved them.
Our hearts break and mourn with the Nashville community and all those who lost loved ones on this tragic day.
There really are no sufficient words that can be said to comfort those going through such an unspeakable loss – but we pray our Heavenly Father will comfort the broken hearts of those who are grieving and provide them with healing only He can do.
On this side of heaven there will be evil.
Our only comfort is knowing one day God will right every wrong in His perfect justice.
Please join us in praying for the families and friends who lost a loved one and for the entire Nashville community.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
