Thanks to Roe v. Wade finally being overturned – unborn babies in Mississippi now have a chance at life.
Mississippi was one of the 13 states with a “trigger law” – which would outlaw abortion either automatically or through swift state action if Roe v. Wade was ever overturned.
And now – the last standing abortion clinic in Mississippi has closed their doors for good.
Faithwire reported:
“Gov. Tate Reeves (R-MS) celebrated the closing, tweeting, “Today we wake up in a state where the church doors are open and the abortion clinic’s doors are closed. All the Glory to God the Father! Amen!”
Today we wake up in a state where the church doors are open and the abortion clinic’s doors are closed.
All the Glory to God the Father!
Amen! 🙏 🙏— Governor Tate Reeves (@tatereeves) July 7, 2022
Amen!
To God be the glory that this beautiful day has finally arrived.
Anyone performing an abortion in Mississippi will now be charged with a felony – and could face up to 10 years in prison.
The only exceptions to the ban include saving the life of a mother – or if the woman is a victim of rape.
While we know abortion is never medically necessary to save the life of a mother – and we firmly believe babies conceived in rape still deserve the chance at life – we celebrate this massive victory for the unborn in Mississippi.
President Biden may insist that abortion is a “moral right” – but we know that God is the Creator of life – and that every child is perfectly knit as He intended in their mother’s womb and deserves the chance at life.
Pro-aborts feared the overturning of Roe v. Wade would make abortion illegal in several states – and that’s exactly what’s happening.
And although Biden may try to continue putting forth executive orders to “increase abortions” – thankfully states are working overtime to outlaw abortion to combat the culture of death.
Sadly, in states where abortion is still legal – mobile abortion shops are being set up and promoted by the radical left.
Diane Derzis, who owned the abortion clinic in Mississippi that was shut down, said she is still going to kill babies – just in a different state.
NPR reported:
“The clinic is now headed to Las Cruces, New Mexico, about 40 miles north of El Paso, Texas, to help people there, she said.
“New Mexico, for the time being, is a very receptive state. We’ve been welcomed. And that obviously is closer to the Texas and Oklahoma borders and Arizona. So it seemed like one of the places we need to be,” Derzis said.”
While we celebrate and praise God for the victory in Mississippi – we can’t rest until every baby is safe.
States that love abortion are working overtime to welcome pregnant women across state lines to kill their babies.
Some companies are even paying their employees to get an abortion!
As pro-lifers, we must continue to be on the frontlines of the battle for life – and be the voice for all the babies who can’t yet defend themselves.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
