“Drag queens” have made their way into every area of life – from schools, to libraries, and now even churches.
One pastor is facing massive backlash after it was discovered he invited a man dressed as a “drag queen” to preach a sermon to children.
And once you hear the pastor’s reason for exposing these innocent children to such debauchery – you are bound to be horrified.
To start – it is truly a dark day in our nation when a preacher invites a “drag queen” onto church grounds and puts him at the pulpit to preach the Gospel to children.
Imagine how confusing it is for a young child to see a man dressed in women’s clothing… AND preaching the Gospel – as if God says this lifestyle is okay.
But United Methodist Church senior church pastor Andy Oliver invited a “drag queen” who goes by the name “Penny Cost” to deliver a children’s sermon at his church.
And what was his reasoning?
Oliver claims he wanted to send the message that all people can be called by God to preach the Gospel.
In a Facebook post defending his decision, Oliver claims he invited the “drag queen” to teach at Allendale United Methodist Church because “she” is “grounded.”
Oliver’s Facebook post stated:
“I invited her to preach for several reasons. She is an incredible preacher, grounded as Allendale is, in Wesleyan and liberation theology.
I have a dozen+ trans members and half of the youth group are non-binary. I want all people to see people like themselves called by God to preach the Gospel. I try to share my pulpit as much as possible with people who have been relegated to the margins of our church and society.
Having a drag queen preach is as normative for Allendale as some of y’all putting a flag on your altar.”
How absolutely horrifying!
And the fact that Oliver boasts about having “transgender” youth group members as if it’s something good and holy is a massive red flag.
Instead of leading children into further confusion by supporting their LGBT lifestyle choices, he should be helping them learn the truth which is written all over Scripture – that God created each of us male or female – for a purpose – and to glorify Him.
The Bible is clear there will be massive consequences for leading children astray – and any person who preaches the “transgender” Gospel in the name of Jesus will be held accountable.
And of course, Pastor Oliver loves the attention coming his way since he’s using his church to promote the LGBT agenda.
The focus of every church should be on God – glorifying Him – and making His name known.
Having a male dressed in “drag” preaching to children does not glorify God – it mocks Him.
It’s tragic when people buy into the LGBT agenda and walk down a path of darkness.
But it’s unconscionable when leaders do this and allude that Jesus would do the same.
