When we think about our freedoms as Americans – we often think about the right to free speech or to worship Jesus in the public square.
But others have a different idea of what “fundamental freedom” means – and they believe we have the “right” to kill babies.
And once you hear the comments from the head of the nation’s largest teachers’ union – you’re bound to be horrified.
At an annual teachers’ gathering, Becky Pringle – who currently serves as the head of the National Education Association (NEA) – delivered the keynote address.
She could have used the opportunity to discuss the out-of-control LGBT agenda terrorizing young children and even leading to sexual assault in some cases.
Or perhaps she could have given a motivational speech inspiring teachers about the importance of their role in shaping the lives of their students.
But instead she used her time and platform to advocate for abortion – going so far as to rally the NEA to publicly commit to defending abortion – even hosting rallies and “demonstrations.”
Not missing a beat – she went on to and took shots at President Trump for “radicalizing” the Supreme Court.
The Christian Post reported:
“We have known since the 2016 election, this day would come; we would feel the effects of a radicalized Supreme Court issuing decisions that do not reflect the views or the values of the majority of Americans,” she said.
“We knew the ground had shifted, and the stage had been set to move us further away from the promise of America for all Americans.”
She called the Dobbs decision a move meant to “hijack the fundamental freedom to decide for ourselves when and how to have a family” and criticized the court’s other rulings on school prayer and school vouchers.”
While the NEA’s stance on abortion isn’t surprising, it’s still equally disheartening.
Encouraging teachers to promote abortion and host “rallies” and demonstrations is only going to fuel the hateful protests sweeping our nation.
Pro-lifers continue to be harassed and insulted by abortion advocates – and life-saving pregnancy centers continue to be vandalized.
But whenever a “leader” has the chance to address the issue, they skirt around it – and encourage more violence and fighting against the Roe v. Wade ruling.
Pringle also stated they will continue to call students “transgender” if that’s what they “identify” as – taking a shot at all the states fighting against the LGBT agenda sweeping through their school districts.
The Christian Post continued:
“We will say gay. We will say trans,” she said in reference to Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education” law prohibiting sexual orientation or gender identity curricula in kindergarten through third grade.”
What Pringle misunderstands the most is our freedoms are inherent and come from God – and because He is the Author of life – it is only He who can decide who lives and who dies.
We’ve reached a terrifying new low in our country when the head of the NEA is telling teachers that abortion is a “fundamental right.”
As Christians, we must continue to pray that God will open the eyes of those who are still deceived and believe the lies of the enemy – we pray they will come to find true freedom in His truth.
Do you think abortion is a “fundamental right”?
