Many Christians will say they are “pro-life” …
… but then have exceptions such as “in cases of rape.”
But one organization is leading the charge to remind us that all lives truly matter – especially the “least of these.” Here’s how “Save The 1” challenges Christians to live out Jesus’s command.
When it comes to the abortion debate – many pro-life organizations are willing to “sacrifice the 1” for the “greater good” of advancing the pro-life movement.
But Save The 1 firmly believes that every baby should be given the chance to be born – no exceptions, without compromise.
While some conservative politicians are tempted to compromise on the “hard cases” like babies conceived in rape or incest – Save The 1’s founder Rebecca Kiessling is on the frontlines leading the charge on advocating for all the babies who get thrown under the bus.
Kiessling herself was conceived in rape while her birthmother was held at knifepoint.
Thankfully, Kiessling was placed up for adoption, and now she shares her story in the hopes that others will see the “real face” of someone conceived by rape to add humanity to the issue.
And according to Kiessling, once politicians come face-to-face with a person who has been conceived in rape and hear her story – many hearts have been changed.
She states the name “Save The 1” is modeled after Matthew 18:10-14 where Jesus tells the parable of the shepherd leaving the 99 sheep to bring back the 1.
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” – Matthew 18:10-14
Kiessling challenges all Americans to do the same – and not give into “compromise” legislation that sacrifices protecting babies conceived in rape.
The Save The 1 website boldly states what they believe it means to be pro-life:
“Are you tired of seeing exceptions in the law? Tired of mediocre leaders who accept a compromising strategy that will never end legal abortion?
Setting the no exceptions/no compromise standard raises the bar and brings us better laws and better leadership – within the pro-life movement, within our churches, and within government.
Please join Save The 1 in making a difference in the lives of all children all around the world who Jesus would call “the least of these” – the so called “hard cases” of rape, incest and special needs.
Our speakers’ testimonies have already changed the hearts and minds of leaders – even 2 U.S. Presidential candidates, and, even more importantly, God has used us to change the hearts and minds of abortion minded rape survivors.”
Amen!
As we know, every baby was created in the image of God and deserves the right to be born – regardless of how they were conceived.
The minute we think that a life has less value – for any reason – is the minute we allow the enemy to fool us by believing his lies.
Pro-lifers must be pro-life, without compromise, and advocate for every unborn baby.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
