There’s nothing more horrific than to know there are missing children all around the world – many of them often facing extreme danger and entrapped in human trafficking.
Refusing to sit on the sidelines, a massive rescue operation took place in Tennessee – and more than 150 missing children were found!
And once you hear the incredible details of how these children were found, you’re bound to be amazed.
Collaborating together, the United States Marshals Service, Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation created “Operation Volunteer Strong” as they worked to find the lost children – some who have even been missing for over a year.
While some children are held hostage by a disgruntled parent during a custody battle, others are caught up in dysfunctional homes and feel the only way out is to run away.
Predators are trained to take advantage of vulnerable children and leap at the opportunity to sweep up wandering and homeless children, promising them a “way out” – which of course only endangers them further.
But refusing to sit on the sidelines, this incredible team of law enforcement stayed the course, and provided relief for 150 endangered children!
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported:
“I hope this operation changes the course for 150 young lives and leads them to the path of opportunities every child deserves,” said Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee. “Our efforts should also serve notice to those who prey on society’s most vulnerable that these children are not forgotten. Investigations will continue and the next knock at the door could be for you.”
Amen!
Just as Jesus our Good Shepherd leaves the 99 to go after the one, this collaborative team is committed to working tirelessly and will continue until every last child is found.
While we can rejoice in all the children who have been united with their families, we must never stop praying for those who are still missing.
Right here in our country, and likely even in our own town, there are missing children who were either abducted or ran away.
Many have been sold into human trafficking or have gotten in with a dangerous crowd.
We must fervently remember to keep them in our prayers, and pray for God to reunite them with their families.
In addition, we must stay alert, as we could be the one to find them!
Remember the story of the sanitation worker who went to work like always, but responded swiftly after he got an Amber Alert?
He ended up saving a little girl from a sex offender!
God can use all of us to do His work – we just need to be willing and able.
