Ritchie Herron made the decision to undergo “transgender” surgery and become a “woman.”
Following the surgery, the now 35-year-old is horrified by how severely he destroyed his body – and is furious at doctors for not considering his mental illness and allowing the surgery to take place.
And once you hear Ritchie’s story, you’ll be convinced – now more than ever – at just how much mental illness plays a role in the “transgender” madness.
We have long sounded the alarm that gender dysphoria is a mental disorder – and Ritchie’s story proves this true yet again.
The truth is, many individuals struggle with their identity and buy into the lie that they should “follow what they feel” and “do what makes them happy.”
For those who wrestle with their sexuality, this can cause them to make radical – life-altering – decisions.
Some take hormone pills, others have physical surgeries to remove body parts in order to complete the “transition.”
But instead of encouraging those with gender dysphoria to seek help and healing – doctors are quick to get them on the operating table.
Ritchie became another casualty to this dangerous agenda and fell prey to the lie that changing genders would solve all his troubles.
After receiving hormone treatments, he pulled the trigger and moved forward with a full-blown gender reassignment surgery.
And although he now regrets his decision – it’s simply just too late.
The Daily Mail reported:
“Battling mental health issues – and after decades of suppressing his homosexuality – Ritchie, 35, had thought the answer was to become a woman. But instead, he says, he was fast-tracked into making ‘the biggest mistake of his life’ and left infertile, incontinent and with ongoing pain.
Not only had the NHS clinic failed to take into account his spiralling mental health crisis, he claims, but it had also failed to properly counsel him about the risks.”
Even more horrific – some doctors are allowing CHILDREN to make these life-altering decisions!
Imagine a teen going through a gender-identity crisis being granted the blessing of their doctor to surgically change genders.
It’s absolutely horrifying.
And while some states like Texas protect children against radical medical practitioners and procedures – other places like California encourage “transgender” youth to come seek refuge in their “sanctuary state.”
Of course – all of this hysteria could be avoided by encouraging those struggling with their gender identity to seek mental health counseling.
In fact, Ritchie feels that his mental illness prevented him from making the right decisions, and wished doctors had advocated on his behalf.
The Daily Mail continued:
“Ritchie is now planning a legal case against Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust. His barrister, Peter Harthan, says patients like Ritchie faced ‘a lifetime of medical care and consequences’ and ‘cannot be put back together again’.
He adds: ‘My concern is clinicians failed to identify red flags and change direction. Proper consideration needs to be given to issues such as OCD, internalised homophobia, depression, drug use, sexual abuse and childhood trauma as potential reasons for patients rejecting their sexed body.’”
Let us continue to pray with and for those who struggle with gender identity – that God would open their eyes to the truth.
While Ritchie may not get his biological body back – God can restore and redeem his past mistakes.
In addition, let’s pray more states will advocate on behalf of children and forbid adults from allowing them to undergo “transgender” surgery.
The stakes are just too high.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
