Since 1965, New Hope Family Services has placed more than 1,000 children with adoptive families giving them a forever home.
But because of their Christian beliefs which include not placing children with unmarried or same-sex couples – the liberal New York Office of Children and Family Services tried to shut them down.
Thankfully, a federal judge ruled against the state – allowing New Hope Family Services to continue serving families. Just wait until you hear the details.
To start – LGBT activists are obsessed with forcing everyone, even Christians, to go along with their values.
And if Christians hold true to what Scripture says – they are fined, punished, or face massive retaliation from those with an anti-Christian agenda.
So instead of letting New Hope Family Services operate as they have been for decades, New York insisted their policies were “discriminatory” – because they did not place children with same-sex households.
But instead of bowing down to the state, New Hope Family Services held the line, remained strong, and filed a federal lawsuit.
While many federal judges are openly sympathetic to the LGBT agenda, by God’s grace, the judge presiding over this case ruled in favor of New Hope – allowing them to keep their doors open and continue following their deeply-engrained religious beliefs.
NBC New York reported:
“U.S. District Court Judge Mae A. D’Agostino in Albany cited free speech protections Tuesday in granting New Hope a summary judgment and ruling the state agency couldn’t compel New Hope to provide adoption services to unmarried or same-sex couples.
An attorney for New Hope said shutting down an agency for its religious beliefs serves no one.
“New Hope’s faith-guided services don’t coerce anyone and do nothing to interfere with other adoption providers who have different beliefs about family and the best interests of children,” Roger Brooks of the Alliance Defending Freedom said in a prepared release.”
Praise the Lord for this ruling!
Placing innocent children in homes that follow the LGBT lifestyle should not be forced upon Christians or any agency.
New Hope doesn’t receive any government funding, so they are not beholden to whatever the latest push is from the left to endanger children.
Sadly, some Christian adoption agencies have caved into pressure and have granted same-sex couples to adopt children.
While it is important every child has a home and a safe place to live, placing them in a home with those who are in blatant disobedience to God or struggling with gender dysphoria is not a healthy environment for them.
Now more than ever, our children need us to remain strong and resist the urge to compromise on our Christian values.
Christian adoption agencies around the nation continue to be attacked by those forcing them to violate their beliefs – let’s pray they remain steadfast and faithful in protecting the next generation.
Do you agree with the judge’s ruling that New York cannot force Christian adoption agencies to place children into same-sex homes?
