School officials are determined to completely eradicate God from the public school system – but one governor won’t let it happen on his watch.
Instead of refusing to allow Christians to pray – a bold, new law was passed which legally forces schools to allow a moment of silence in the morning so students can pray.
When asked why he would sign such a bill, this Governor publicly declared the necessity of God to be successful in life – but wait until you hear his full answer.
Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis recently signed a bill into law titled “Moment of Silence in Public School” which gives students 1-2 minutes of silence each morning to be able to pray.
Of course, students are not forced to pray, but this bill at least gives them the option to do so.
Opponents of the bill criticized the new “moment of silence,” claiming it’s just an excuse to pray…
… as if prayer is something evil and should be banned!
The truth is, public schools are working overtime to push their LGBT agenda while trying to eliminate God and all forms of prayer.
And all of this is being led by President Biden who is determined to force all schools to become “transgender friendly” – or else withhold funding.
With so many horrific laws being passed, it’s a breath of fresh air to see a bill that honors the freedom for students to pray.
Making our need for God clear, Governor DeSantis reiterated how our founding fathers long depended on the power of God in their daily lives.
Faithwire reported:
“It’s something that’s important to be able to provide each student the ability, every day, to be able to reflect and to be able to pray as they see fit,” DeSantis said.
“The idea that you can just push God out of every institution, and be successful — I’m sorry, our founding fathers did not believe that.”
Amen!
While 14 states currently allow silence for prayers in public schools, with other states leaving it up to individual school boards, there are still many states who won’t allow it.
Taking things even further, some schools have even taken disciplinary actions against teachers and coaches for exercising their right to pray.
It’s a sad day in America when it actually has to be legislated into law to give students the chance to pray.
But this is where we are.
Public schools continue to grow hostile to God’s timeless truths, but Jesus sill makes His name known.
Cheers to Florida for standing up for religious liberties.
Let’s hope more states will follow and give students the right to pray to God before they start their day.
Those who hate Christ will always try and conceal His truth – but moments like this reminds us all that His light is always stronger than the darkness!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
