In the good old days, schoolchildren had varied after-school activities to entertain them.
Whether playing sports with friends or expanding their creativity through dance and art – parents felt confident their children were safe and in good hands.
One school has shattered the trust of parents by promoting an afterschool “Satan club” – and just wait until you hear the horrifying details.
Imagine the shock of your elementary school child arriving home with a flyer that encourages them to join a “satan club” – and then learning they found this flyer at school.
Horrifying, right?
Well, this parental nightmare became a reality in one small town.
Parents in Moline, Illinois, were shocked when children attending Jane Addams Elementary School were invited to a series of events hosted by the Satanic Temple.
Apparently, to promote the events to children, the Satanic Temple decided that leaving flyers in the school was a “strategic” move.
CBN News reported:
“Hey Kids, let’s have fun at After School Satan Club,” the promotional material read.
Naturally, parents were outraged and demanded answers from school officials.
Sadly, instead of profusely apologizing – the school district defended the afterschool Satan club – essentially claiming that the school doesn’t discriminate against anyone who wants to rent their facilities – and that the Satanic Temple had a right to promote their events in the school.
The Christian Post reported:
“The Moline-Coal Valley School District and Board of Education have policies and administrative procedures in place which allow for community use of its publicly funded facilities outside the day,” the statement read.
“The district does not discriminate against any groups who wish to rent our facilities, including religious-affiliated groups.”
Unfortunately, the Satanic Temple appears to target schools that host the Good News Club – an evangelical outreach program for children, which teaches them about the character of God.
Although the Satanic Temple may try to shut out the light of Christ with their wicked programs – we know light is stronger than darkness.
Please take a moment right now and pray for our children!
They are under constant attack in a spiritual battle – as those who hate God seek to destroy their faith and pollute their minds with evil and darkness.
Thankfully, there are many adults who see the battle for what it is, and they are sounding the alarm.
CBN continued:
“The so-called Satanic Temple group is not legitimate. It’s a handful of atheists masquerading as so-called Satanists whose only reason for existence in schools is to be disruptive and oppose the Good News Clubs,” Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, told CBN News.
Let us also pray that school districts will no longer allow the Satanic Temple to promote their events on school grounds – and that school officials will care more about the souls of children than making a quick buck.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
