In a wonderful example of pro-life politicians using their power for good, the Texas Heartbeat Act was signed into law – banning abortion once a baby’s heartbeat is detected.
It’s now been over a year since the law went in effect and a new study estimates that more than 10,000 babies lives have been saved!
And once you find out about the full impact this crucial bill has had, you’re bound to be encouraged.
Let’s be honest – we could all use a little bit of good news.
Even after Roe v. Wade was overturned, abortion activists were still determined to force through abortions – and they used every trick up their sleeve to make it happen.
From parking unmarked vans at the border of states with abortion restrictions so pregnant moms could kill their babies, to beefing up their online “telehealth” options in order to prescribe abortion drugs – things looked dark for the unborn.
But then there were places like Texas who passed life-saving legislation – its Texas Heartbeat Act – which pro-lifers hoped would reduce the number of babies slaughtered at the hands of cruel abortionists.
And by God’s grace – new studies show the Texas Heartbeat Act IS actually working – and saving lives!
The Charlotte Lozier Institute reported:
“In the five months after the Texas Heartbeat Act took effect, approximately 10,000 fewer abortions were performed in Texas.
Additionally, in the five months from March 2022 to July 2022 compared to the same timeframe in the three previous years, the number of children born in Texas increased by approximately 5,000.
This analysis shows that nearly 50 percent of the abortion-vulnerable children who were protected by the Texas Heartbeat Act were carried to term likely as a result of the law.”
Praise the Lord!
Let’s hope more states fight back against the radical pro-abortion administration and pass their own life-saving laws that save babies.
The unborn can’t yet fight for themselves, so they’re counting on pro-lifers like us to be their voice.
And until the day comes when abortion is no longer even a thought in our nation – we must continue to pray without ceasing for the entire pro-life movement.
Let’s pray more pro-lifers will get involved in the political process and use their power for good.
And let’s continue to pray that those who advocate for abortion will soon wake up from the deception and turn from their evil ways and choose to do good.
As for Texas – we celebrate its major victories with the Texas Heartbeat Act – and look forward to hearing future results of even more lives saved!
