Taking a walk in the park? Easy.
Baking cookies from packaged cookie dough? Semi-easy.
Getting censored from Google Ads for pointing out a small pro-choice fallacy?
Insanely easy, apparently…
Americas PAC recently brought a 10-second video ad to Google platform.
It was not only rejected, but their entire access to the world’s largest stage has been “expired” without reinstatement.
The whole situation is almost surreal, especially for the blatant lack of reason given for the ban.
Still, Tom Donelson, chairman of Americas PAC, is finding the whole matter unsurprising based on Google’s history with conservative sources of hope.
“My assumption is that we violated their policy that liberals should never be criticized. Or maybe we violated their policy against effective conservative advertising. It is hard to know because they won’t give us a reason.”
The first step to making effective demands for accountability is understanding the truth. Exposing such stories is a step in the right direction.
Americas PAC has become a known, respected, and worthy organization on the political platform.
Their efforts are geared toward conservative voters, particularly in reaching the approximately 40% of minority voters who identify as conservative. And their success in doing so is not something to brush off.
But who are they? Some call them the Voice of America for conservative votes. According to their “about us” website page, “Americas PAC has produced, written, and/or directed more than 300 TV and radio spots for conservative candidates and causes.”
Their website even boasts “significant increases in Minority votes for Republican candidates in those races we participated.”
The matters of their advertising range as far as the political spectrum, and they are particularly effective “On issues like school choice, lower taxes, stopping out of control government spending, economic opportunity to succeed, traditional marriage, life, health care and national security.”
So what crazy terror did they expose on Google to get such an aggressive ban?
They disagreed with two Democratic senators, publicly.
I know, you’re shocked at the horror.
Senator Gary Peters of Michigan and Senator Tina Smith of Minnesota are two of the many Democrats who voted down a new bill in Congress, The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which was brought to the floor earlier this year.
If passed, “the bill would have required doctors and health care professionals to give care to babies who are delivered alive during a termination procedure as if they had been delivered regularly and prescribed severe penalties for those who didn’t,” according to the Conservative Tribune.
It was a measure being presented in case a doctor (or their patients) were gone so far in their disregard for human life that they would consider inhumane treatments of the now-alive child.
Even with everything recently happening in the country, it is still a bit shocking to learn of how overwhelmingly the Democrats voted down the bill in the Senate.
In response, Americas PAC created the 10-second video to pose a pointed question from a Democrat viewpoint: “I’m pro-choice, but why do I have to refuse medical care for a baby?”
The question simply stated asks voters to consider not only what a candidate stands for, but what they refuse to stand for. It asks voters to consider the motives of candidates on either side, and to dig a little deeper.
Regardless, it was enough to cause Google to take drastic measures. “Google suspended the campaign and Americas PAC’s account on April 5th…”
“Americas PAC appealed and submitted verification information that it is an FEC Registered Political Action Committee and has been engaged in Federal Elections as an Independent Expenditure Committee since 2014,” as their website notes.
The appeal did receive a response. And it was definitely something to write home about.
First, they “confirmed that your account is in violation of Google Ads policies. Since this decision is final, your account will not be reinstated… Our support team will not be able to give you any more specifics on the suspension.”
However, the eye-widening moment came when they wrote again and advised that Americas PAC not attempt to open a new account. Why? They would all be automatically banned.
Tom Donelson has dealt with opposition before. In particular, he compared the war with DNC law firm Perkins Coie as he explained his theory: “The only plausible conclusion is that Google banned Americas PAC for its conservative character, rather than the content of the ads.”
“If the content of the ads is acceptable to FCC regulated radio stations, and Americas PAC is a registered Federal Election Commission Independent Expenditure Committee with a five-year track record of raising and spending millions of dollars reported to the FEC, then the only feasible explanation for Google’s actions is an ingrained corporate bias to protect Democrats.”
“At least when Marc Elias and his minions come after us, they cite their point of view and we hash it out with radio station managers. Perkins Coie has never been successful in shutting us down. Google arbitrarily erected a digital wall between us and voters who use its platforms.”
This, the total biased and unreasonable opposition, has occurred on Google territory before. And it will probably happen again unless action is taken.
Newsbusters points out: “In 2008, the company took down ads from The Christian Institute, saying that ‘Google policy does not permit the advertisements of websites that contain ‘abortion and religion-related content.’ Later, it began to remove what it called ‘deceptive’ pregnancy center ads, at the urging of NARAL Pro-Choice America.”
But, religion and abortion had no place in this 10-second ad whatsoever.
In fact, the narrator even states “I’m pro-choice…” So, is Google and the wider pro-abortion movement accepting that their worldview is also a religion?
They might not admit to this, but clearly something helped them make this choice other than their stated reasoning, because their reasoning is unreasonable.
If you choose to believe we are in a free country, understand that we are in a position in 2019 where our freedom is only in part. For a life truly free, we all need to fight for it.
This world is run by spiritual forces of darkness. There is one Light. Those who have experienced this Light by salvation or long-suffering mercy need to lift up their heads and hands to God first.
First, we need wisdom and direction from the Source. And then we need to start taking action if we intend to regain the freedom that many gave their lives to achieve.
