Brittni had been a porn star for seven years. Then one day everything changed.
She left the porn industry and started exploring Christianity, and found herself at a young adult ministry at a local church.
And when she heard these critical words from the youth pastor – her life was never the same again.
For the first times ever, Brittni was told she was worthy of love.
This struck cord in her, as she had long been told she wasn’t, especially considering she worked in an industry that objectifies women.
But the Spirit moved her heart and Brittni knew once and for all she had to completely cut ties with her former ways.
She broke up with her boyfriend (who had advised her to strip to earn extra cash) and committed herself fully to the Lord.
Committed to remaining single for a year, Brittni threw herself into learning everything about God, and spent her days reading the Bible and falling more in love with Jesus.
He began to transform her heart and ignite a passion within her to pursue purity.
As God would have it, a year later after not dating anyone, Brittni was asked out on a date by a new guy.
But this wasn’t just any guy…
… it was the youth pastor, Richard, who first taught her she was worthy of love!
The couple began dating, and Richard spoke transparently on the power of God’s grace to transform a once-lost soul.
CBN News reported:
“When I first met her, I didn’t even know she was in the porn industry,” said Richard. “I found out when she was sharing her testimony. But even then, her being in the industry, I never really looked at her as a product of her past. I looked at her as a product of God’s grace. What God has done in her life has just been incredible.”
So many people judge others by their “life before Christ,” but Richard did not.
After all, the Bible teaches us that once we accept Jesus, we become a new creation.
Now married, the couple works in ministry together and Brittni uses her testimony to reach others struggling with pornography and sexual addiction through the XXX Church.
Talk about God’s redemption!
The couple is passionate about sharing the beauty of purity, a virtue often ignored in today’s culture.
Brittni knows it’s tough – but encourages others to stay the course and seek accountability.
CBN News continued:
“It’s hard and it’s not easy,” she explained. “But with God all things are possible. And so, what you need to do if you want to walk in purity – if this is the desire of your heart – you want to honor God with your body. You need accountability and you need to just set clear basic boundaries.”
What a beautiful testimony of how God continues to rescue people from the darkness and bring them into His healing light.
