“Transgender” athlete “Lia Thomas” won the 500-yard Freestyle in the NCAA swimming championship competing against biological girls – even though he is a male.
And while female Emma Weyant technically placed second – conservatives around the country have deemed her the “true winner.”
By allowing Thomas to compete, the NCAA has officially destroyed women’s sports – but just wait until you hear how Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida responded.
To start, DeSantis is not one to mince words.
He is fearless and has a track record of standing up for women and pushing back against the LGBT madness.
In addition, he uses his power for good to help advocate for Christian principles.
But he’s especially outspoken when it comes to men thinking they have a “right” to compete in women’s sports simply if they “identify” as a female.
And with all the controversy surrounding Thomas, DeSantis wanted to set the record straight – so he issued a proclamation recognizing Emma Weyant as the real winner.
The truth is, Florida native Emma Weyant is the fastest swimmer in the nation – and she deserved 1st place.
She trained and worked hard to put in the long hours of sacrifice – and earned the top spot because she truly IS the fastest female swimmer.
But then Thomas, who previously competed and swam with men until his “gender transition,” swooped in and stole the show.
Of course, he wouldn’t have been allowed to compete against other women unless the NCAA allowed it.
But since Biden and his pro-LGBT administration are so obsessed with pushing the “transgender” agenda, companies and organizations all around the country are following suit and embracing the “transgender” lifestyle – even if it harms women.
Christian Headlines reported on DeSantis’s proclamation and harsh rebuke to the NCAA:
“Florida rejects the NCAA’s efforts to destroy women’s athletics, disapproves of the NCAA elevating ideology over biology, and takes offense at the NCAA trying to make others complicit in a lie.”
“It is my determination that men should not be competing against women such as Emma Weyant, robbing women and girls of achievements, awards, and scholarships,” the proclamation says.”
It’s a sad day when our nation seeks to ignore God’s design for gender – and instead teaches people they can simply “follow their heart” or “do what feels right.”
Now more than ever we need level-headed adults willing to stand up and fight for our girls.
While DeSantis is outspoken – he has an uphill battle.
Biden’s Supreme Court pick faced massive backlash when she recently refused to define what a woman was – claiming she couldn’t do so because she wasn’t a “biologist”.
And other leftist Governors are more than willing to push the “transgender” agenda by allowing men to compete in female sports.
We must continue to pray for the web of deception to be broken and that those who are lost and confused about their gender will come to know the truth.
