The moment we’ve all been praying for has finally arrived – well – almost.
After a draft U.S. Supreme Court ruling set to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked, shockwaves were sent across the nation.
Pro-aborts doubled-down their attacks and pro-lifers cheered – but could Roe v. Wade really be overturned? And if so, does this mean the fight for life is over?
To start, the Supreme Court ruling won’t be final until the Justices release their final decision – likely by the end of June.
While they are currently set to overturn Roe v. Wade – anything can happen from now until then.
President Biden has already condemned the draft ruling – calling it “radical.”
Reuters reported:
“It’s a fundamental shift in American jurisprudence,” Biden said, arguing that such a ruling would call into question other rights including same-sex marriage, which the court recognized in 2015.
“It becomes the law, and if what is written is what remains, it goes far beyond the concern of whether or not there is the right to choose,” Biden added, referring to abortion rights.
“It goes to other basic rights – the right to marriage, the right to determine a whole range of things.”
Of course – the only thing “radical” is allowing unborn babies to be slaughtered at the hands of cruel abortionists.
And while abortion advocates often talk about “rights” – they seem to neglect the rights of unborn babies being given the chance to be born.
Having a draft ruling leaked like this is unprecedented and is seen as the ultimate act of betrayal.
This deliberate leaking of the document was meant to start a firestorm and create pressure, and how it was leaked is currently being investigated.
Reuters continued:
“Chief Justice John Roberts said he has launched an investigation into how the draft – authored by conservative Justice Samuel Alito – was leaked, calling it a “betrayal.”
“This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the court and the community of public servants who work here,” Roberts said.”
Of course, the leak has caused increased hostility towards pro-lifers – with pro-aborts holding rallies all around the country encouraging people to become “active” in stopping the draft ruling from becoming final.
At the same time – many states have drawn up legislation that bans abortion should Roe v. Wade be overturned.
Liberal states like California and New York have taken a different approach and hope to be “safe harbors” for those seeking abortion – welcoming women to cross state lines and abort their babies.
Employers have already jumped the gun by vowing to include new employee benefits that include paying for employees to travel across state lines and kill their babies.
Now more than ever, we must continue to pray that the initial draft ruling will be upheld – and Roe v. Wade will be overturned.
But, even if it is – the battle for life is far from over.
We must continue to pray for those at the state level – that they will use their power for good to ensure not one more baby loses its life through abortion.
God cares about every life – and the mass slaying of unborn babies across our land is a brutal act of violence against our most vulnerable.
Let’s pray that the Supreme Court Justices won’t be swayed and Roe v. Wade is finally overturned.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
