As schools around the country continue to adopt a radical anti-Biblical agenda, students and teachers are left in chaos.
Many students have since become confused, and simply accept the pro-LGBT agenda, while teachers simply fall in line and carry out orders from those in charge.
But one teacher finally had enough and decided to quit her teaching job – and just wait until you hear her reason why.
Laura Morris was a schoolteacher in Loudoun County, Virginia.
She loved her students and her job – and looked forward to teaching her little ones this fall.
But once Loudoun County passed a new policy demanding teachers refer to children by their preferred “pronoun” – even allowing children to choose the restroom or locker room of their choice based on their “preferred gender” – she knew she couldn’t continue teaching there in good conscience.
Through tears, Laura told the schoolboard how destructive their policies have become – and how shameful it was to force teachers to enact their extreme agenda onto vulnerable children.
The Christian Post reported:
“The teacher alleged that in one of her “so-called equity trainings,” she was informed that “white, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and that ‘this has to change.’”
“Clearly, you’ve made your point. You no longer value me or many other teachers you’ve employed in this county,” she added. “Since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you.”
Morris began to tear up as she declared: “School board, I quit. I quit your policies, I quit your trainings and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents: the children.”
It’s heartbreaking that children are the ones who have to bear the brunt of radical adults trying to make a leftwing agenda mainstream.
Laura Morris could have just sucked it up and kept teaching, but she credits her faith in Jesus for giving her the courage to take a stand and walk away.
During a Fox News interview with Tucker Carlson, the host commended her for her bravery – but Laura told him she wasn’t being brave, she was just following the leading of Jesus.
The Christian Post reported:
“She attributed “the protection I have had” and “the provision I have had” since the resignation as well as “the courage to get up and do it” in the first place to her “walk with the Lord.”
Laura Morris urged parents to pull their students out of public schools and place them into private schools – something many parents have already done, in addition to homeschooling their children.
Another teacher, Byron Tanner Cross, also in Loudoun County, pushed back from the beginning as soon as he heard the pro-LGBT plans of the schoolboard.
Also a Christian, he stated his faith would prohibit him from calling a student by their “preferred gender.”
As schools around the country continue to adopt a radical agenda that endangers students, we must continue to pray for their safety and for parents to be on guard and aware of what their children are being taught.
It truly is a sad day in our nation when adults put children in the middle of a culture war.
May Christians continue to stand up for Biblical truth and work to protect their students the best they can.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
