Americans looked on in horror when they learned that businesses were offering abortion “benefits” to their employees.
From Starbucks to Yelp – hundreds of companies around the country were so furious that Roe v. Wade was overturned – that they’re literally paying their employees to get abortions.
But in contrast to such a dark time in our country – one organization is offering reimbursement for employees who choose to adopt children – and just wait until you hear the details.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade sparked all kinds of emotions in our nation.
Pro-lifers fell to their knees thanking God for this massive victory.
Others became angry and began violently attacking pro-life centers and churches.
Businesses looked for ways to skirt the law – and offered travel reimbursement for those who had to go out of state to get an abortion.
And just when things seemed so bleak – Christians began to step up and be the light.
One organization in particular decided to offer their own employee benefit – but instead of paying employees to abort their babies – they’re offering an incentive to those who want to adopt a child.
Christ for All Nations (CfaN) announced they were offering their employees up to $5,000 to help offset the expenses of adopting a child.
Praise God!
CfaN listed out all the items they’re willing to reimburse for their employees:
“CfaN’s life-honoring policy also includes reimbursement for adoption application fees, relevant home studies, agency and placement fees, legal fees and court costs, immigration, immunization, and translation fees, transportation, meals, and lodging, as well as parent, child, and family adoption counseling.”
This is truly beautiful.
Not only is adoption the chance to give a child a forever home, but it’s a tangible way to live out one’s pro-life values.
As Christians, it’s not enough to just “say” we are pro-life – we must live it.
Of course, living out our pro-life values is different for everyone.
For some it means running for office and helping pass pro-life legislation.
And for others it could mean fostering or even adopting a child.
Whether donating to pro-life organizations, helping a single or pregnant mom, or even using your circle of influence to support pro-life initiatives – all of us can do something.
CfaN agrees – and spoke about the importance of us using action – and not just words:
“The robust program is a clear endorsement of every human’s right to life and is in keeping with the Biblical teaching that every human is created in the image of God. However, the program also recognizes that the church has a responsibility to “put our money where our mouths are.”
As one CfaN employee noted, “It is not enough that we cheer the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. We must also be ready to stand in the gap – to support life with our actions, not just our words.”
While the overturning of Roe v. Wade was a monumental event that should be celebrated – we still have a long way to go in the battle for life.
Let’s hope more organizations begin to offer adoption incentives to their employees as a way to stand up for life.
Light is always stronger than darkness – and by speaking up for adoption and making it a reality for families and children alike is a tangible way to show the love of Christ to a dying world.
Do you think businesses should offer adoption incentives for employees?
What are some other ways we can stand for life as Christians in a tangible way?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17
