If you haven’t heard, famed Jeopardy host Alex Trebek announced in March he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Doctors said the prognosis was grim, but Trebek wasn’t going to give up without a fight.
He reached out to his fans across the nation for prayers and they responded.
But when he recently reported on the miraculous results of his treatment, the mainstream media outlets left out one key word:
“Prayer”
When CBS and NBC reported Alex Trebek’s words as he explained the miraculous results of his cancer treatment, they left out the part where he mentioned prayer.
Here is what Mr. Trebek had to say:
“I’ve got a couple million people out there who have expressed their good thoughts, their positive energy directed towards me and their prayers. I told the doctors, this has to be more than just the chemo, and they agreed it could very well be an important part of this.”
But as reported by the Conservative Tribune, here’s how CBS and NBC reported the God-glorifying news:
“In the version read aloud Wednesday night by NBC’s Joe Fryer, Trebek’s mention of prayer didn’t quite make the final cut.
‘I’ve got a couple million people out there who have expressed good thoughts,’ Fryer said, quoting Trebek.
Fryer then skipped Trebek’s mention of ‘prayers’ and moved on to a different part of his quote: ‘I told the doctors, this has to be more than just the chemo.’
The ‘and their prayers’ part was cut out of the written, on-screen version of the quote as well.
CBS, meanwhile, decided to go a different route in covering this story. The network’s Wednesday broadcast of ‘CBS Evening News’ simply did not include any mention of Trebek’s praise for his fans’ thoughts and prayers.…
Typical.”
And the results are truly miraculous.
According to Trebek himself, “It’s kind of mind-boggling,” Trebek said in the magazine’s new cover story. “The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory … some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.”
This is a miracle!
The 78-year-old had a very advanced cancer, and a type that rapidly spreads and takes its ugly head on a demolition derby through the system.
And yet, in less than a month from the first announcement (which was confirmed by doctors as very legitimate), this announcement followed.
This should be cause for free praise to rise in any language, religion, or tongue!
But something shifted between Alex’s original report on NBC and what was actually relayed.
NBC’s Joe Fryer was the voice behind the announcement. Trebek was not present on the screen or behind the scenes when this occurred.
The “CBS Evening News” also wanted to bring the good news to its listeners and watchers. However, they had their own personal style to bring to the story. They simply ousted the whole section of thanks and the power of anything else but chemo, altogether.
Alex Trebek won’t let this stop him from moving forward with healing, or standing as a manifestation of God’s healing power, either.
One Twitter account has just posted this beautiful little story of what was happening behind the Big Media scenes:
“My grandma was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last month. Her idol, Alex Trebek, was also recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I wrote to Mr. Trebek asking for some words of encouragement and well wishes. To my complete surprise — he responded! Thank you…!”

God is being glorified despite the world’s attempt to keep it in darkness.
But it is time to come alive. We cannot sleepily just accept surface level anymore. There is a spiritual war going on.
Pray to God for faith and discernment, to see what is really happening in every moment.
And don’t mess with someone else’s words just because you don’t agree with them, Christian or not. We are called to be trustworthy and true… Just as our God Is.
