The abortion movement has spread unfathomable evil throughout the U.S. over the last century.
Some don’t even hide their demonic origin, such as the Lilith Fund, named after the demon of child-death, which raises money to fund abortions all over Texas.
But pro-life leaders have fought back and recently won a major battle in a Texas courthouse.
It all started when seven Texas cities declared themselves “sanctuaries for unborn babies.”
The cities banned abortion within their borders and prevented abortion clinics from opening, recognizing that unborn babies are “valuable human beings who deserve to be protected under the law.”
“[The idea of] a constitutional right to abortion…has no textual foundation in the Constitution or any source of law,” the sanctuary ordinances stated.
The sanctuary cities also planned to use the ordinances to penalize abortionists who murdered the unborn within city limits without penalizing the women in crisis seeking abortions.
It was a beautiful gesture of love for the unborn and their mothers, as well as a powerful symbol of the United States’ pro-life commitment.
Of course, pro-abortion activists were incensed by the sanctuary movement and were quick to declare it “oppressive” and “anti-woman.”
So several pro-abortion organizations joined together to file suit against the seven sanctuary cities, planning to force them into opening abortion clinics.
These organizations included the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Texas Equal Access Fund, and the Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity.
That last agency—the Lilith Fund—is a disgusting symbol of the evil of the abortion movement.
The Lilith Fund is named after Lilith, a demon in Jewish folklore who is known for stealing and killing children.
And the Lilith Fund provides direct financial assistance to abortion centers all across Texas, claiming to “foster a positive culture around abortion.”
This organization is literally stealing and killing unborn children, exactly like its demon namesake!
With backing from the ACLU, the Lilith Fund might have gotten its way and pushed the pro-abortion movement deeper into Texas—but it was stopped by a showdown in federal court!
Texas Right to Life, a pro-life movement, met the Lilith Fund and other pro-abortion activists in court, ready to defend the sanctuary cities.
And it wasn’t long before the Lilith Fund and the ACLU realized they were outmatched.
Mark Lee Dickson, a staff member with Right to Life, said that the lawsuit “was nothing but a publicity stunt to deter other cities from creating sanctuaries for the unborn.”
Dickson, who appeared in court on behalf of the Texas sanctuary cities, asserted that the pro-life ordinances were written to withstand legal challenges, and he was right.
The ACLU knew this, but they held on long enough to amend one piece of the sanctuary ordinances: the part that calls abortion clinics and pro-abortion funds “criminal organizations.”
When the sanctuary cities agreed to change this two-word phrase in their sanctuary laws, the ACLU swiftly withdrew its lawsuit, taking the Lilith Fund along with it.
But the soul of the sanctuary ordinance is not changed by this wording, Dickson assured pro-life organizations.
“While it is true that the amended ordinance removes calling [the Lilith Fund and others] ‘criminal organizations,’ the act of abortion and the act of aiding…an abortion are still considered criminal acts,” Dickson said.
“If the Lilith Fund…or any other organization pays for an abortion [in these cities], their organization is involved in criminal activity and there will be consequences.”
That’s a strong blow to these child-killing agencies!
“This is a total and complete victory for the cities that have enacted these ordinances,” Dickson continued.
He’s hopeful that the courthouse victory will prompt other cities to adopt sanctuary status as well.
“Now even the ACLU acknowledges that there is no grounds for challenging these ordinances, and this will embolden other cities and towns the join the movement.”
“Ironically, their failed attempt to intimidate city councils will embolden more towns to become Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn with more confidence than ever.”
These sanctuary cities will be more important than ever, as Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas has plans to build new abortion clinics across the state.
Dickson and Texas Right to Life are confident that sanctuary cities will be a huge step in the pro-life movement and the protection of the unborn.
Please pray for the continued stability and success of the sanctuary ordinances and the expansion of sanctuary cities across Texas and the nation!
