It’s even better when one of your favorite Christian bands travels through your hometown!
Here are a few of the bands you can expect to see on tour throughout 2020.
1. Tenth Avenue North
Following the release of their 2019 album No Shame, Tenth Avenue North has planned an extensive tour in the USA.
The Florida-based band is known for energetic and worshipful live shows that always include a piece of unexpected fun!
The “Finally Living” tour will travel through Texas, Colorado, Oregon, New York, and more throughout February, March, and April. The tour will feature guest artist Micah Tyler and showcase fan favorites from No Shame.
2. For King and Country
For King and Country’s latest release, Burn the Ships, is an honest and experimental exploration of the cost of the Christian life.
The Australian duo brings innovation, passion, and an immense amount of excitement to their live performances, which have been televised nationally over the past few years.
After a successful “Burn the Ships” tour in 2019, For King and Country will start touring again in April 2020. The “Burn the Ships” encore tour will travel through Alabama, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, and more, ending with a show in Washington, D.C.
3. The Gray Havens
The Gray Havens are an up-and-coming folk duo. Their latest release, She Waits, showcases the unique, ethereal style and poetic lyrics that have made them popular with Christians across the country.
While this husband-and-wife duo isn’t able to tour extensively yet, they make an effort to expand their travels each time! The 2020 “See You Again” tour will visit Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, and California, with more dates soon to be added.
4. MercyMe
MercyMe is one of the most well-known Christian bands of our day. Their song “I Can Only Imagine” is much-beloved in churches across the nation.
This year, the band is partnering with Jeremy Camp to tour through Texas, Minnesota, Florida, and all the states in between! If the band isn’t yet scheduled to play near your city, don’t worry—you can put in a request and see what happens!
5. Hillsong
Hillsong’s heartfelt and honest worship ballads have touched hearts across the world for the past two decades. Originally based out of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, the band travels all over the globe to bring the message of hope and love to worshipers everywhere.
The “Awake” tour will span the months of May and June this year. Hillsong will travel with guest artists Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, two up-and-coming solo singers/songwriters.
6. Needtobreathe
As one of the foremost rock bands in Christian music, Needtobreathe writes deep, reflective tracks that touch on sorrow, grace, and many more themes of the Christian life.
The band’s 2020 tour will be a special treat! Needtobreathe is partnering with select guest artists to provide a unique acoustic experience. Each tour stop will be a more intimate concert than the band’s more common rock style.
7. The Newsboys
The Newsboys have enjoyed popularity in the Christian music community since their founding in 1985. Originally from Queensland, Australia, the band has produced seventeen energetic and uplifting albums.
The 2020 “Great of our God Tour” is a continuation of the band’s 2019 tour. It will begin in Minnesota in February and will travel through the Midwest, the East Coast, and the South throughout February, March, and April.
8. Building 429
Building 429, another Christian rock band, recently released their highly anticipated album, Live the Journey. The album is a collection of encouraging and thoughtful songs meant to build up the body of Christ.
The band will tour the USA during the first few months of this year, sharing their uplifting songs at venues across the country.
9. Lauren Daigle
Lauren Daigle, an award-winning singer/songwriter, has played all over the world. Now, she’s bringing her latest work across the USA after a visit to Australia.
The 2020 Lauren Daigle tour will pass through Illinois, Pennsylvania, and more before a final show in New Orleans.
10. Rend Collective
Rend Collective is an energetic Celtic-influenced band known for its creative live shows. On the heels of their latest album, Good News, the band plans to spend time in New Zealand, Australia, and the Philippines before returning to the USA.
The “Revival Anthem” tour is scheduled to visit Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, and more.
